Past Volunteers

I have been at UDHA for 4 weeks now and love it. I came doing a school internship and could not have been placed at a better environment for learning, growing, and developing a stronger understanding of the world. This organization has admirable ideals and I would love to see it grow. I wanted to be involved in community development and I have learned so much in terms of leadership, networking, planning and the African way of life! I think the volunteer website tells it best when it explains that UDHA is not a tourist experience but one where someone can really make a difference. I totally recommend UDHA not only to anyone studying or traveling abroad but to Ugandans too!

As a Ugandan it is hard to get a job or experience because there are limited organizations such as UDHA that will allow for you to expand your skills and talents. Because of this organization I have learned through networking, socializing, and especially with project proposal writing. During the project proposal everybody is given a task and it is necessary work as a team to finalize the proposal.
