More Positions
- Income Generator - Not only do we need people in our office of Iganga but also in our vocational school in Naigobya. Some past ideas include transporting the more valued farm eggs into the city to sell at a higher rate than in the outside villages.
- Public Relations Officer - UDHA has made some very important and beneficial partnerships in Iganga and needs somebody to continue that trend. It is important for the community of Iganga, and of Uganda, to know about UDHA and our efforts to make a better community from the inside out.
- Secretary- People with typing and computer knowledge skills are very much appreciated. Organization of different projects and materials is needed as is filing, receiving visitors and calls, and reception work.
- Internet Consultant- An internet consultant will help us with updating our website, promoting our ideas and bringing new ones to the table. They will help upgrade UDHA as an international NGO. We are in a globalized world and need to advance ourselves as a part of it.
If you feel that your talent or trade could be of some use to us or any of our affiliates please don't hesitate to contact us.
Arrangements can be made for a position to those who do not have a specific trade talent. We have many positions that do not require previous experience.
UDHA does not discriminate or hold bias based on race, religion, disabilities or gender.
Please take into consideration that any, if not all the positions have limited materials. Any materials are greatly appreciated to help UDHA and yourself while in the position. The best way to help Uganda Development and Health Associates without volunteering is through donation or funding. You may refer to the Donations page.
Note: Responsibilities offered to each participant will be proportionate to their level of experience. Participants who are new to development work may predominantly support and assist current project agendas, while those with more applicable experience may be able to assume greater responsibility. Research projects are strongly encouraged by this organization to support each program's objectives because minimal resources are currently allocated for research.
Working Conditions
The UDHA staff works a typical 8 hour day in an office in Iganga. While some of the staff is mainly based in the office, others frequently go into the community to perform various activities, hold trainings, assess programs, and observe clients. Interns/volunteers will have a good balance of both work in the office and in the community.
