Shoebill Stork
A magnificent Shoebill Stork, photographed at Murchison Falls, Uganda. Shoebill Storks are aptly named for their massive shoe-shaped bills. They stand at over 1 meter tall, with a wingspan of 2.5 meters. Shoebill storks can weigh up to 7 kg (15 pounds) and prey on fish.

Murchison Falls
There is never a shortage of safaris to do in African parks. Murchison Falls will take your breath away watching water crash through a 7 meter gap in the rocks and tumble down 43 meters into Lake Albert. There are numerous boat safaris that guide you down the Nile, often seeing hippos and some of East Africa's largest crocodiles! If you are a bird lover then this is one of the best places to see the rare shoebill stork, standing over a meter tall.

Queen Elizabeth National Park
Not many leave Uganda without a visit to Queen Elizabeth National Park. With one of the highest biodiversity rates in the world, Queen Elizabeth National Park houses over 600 species of birds and almost 100 mammals. Of those mammals are the famous elephant, hippo, giant forest hog and Uganda kob. Other parts of the Park include tree-climbing lions, chimps and other monkeys.
